Chapter 11: Castle Rock

They Killed Piggy
October 5

All we did was ask for Piggy's glasses back. Then they killed Piggy truculently, by dropping a huge rock on his head. It was mostly Roger's fault. He was delirious, and because of that he pulled the lever. We all know that what happened to Simon was an accident, but in this case, they murdered Piggy!

The conch is no more. Piggy was holding it when he got hit. It exploded into a million tiny white pieces, and they landed all over the place. The talisman that had protected and kept us together this whole time was gone. After Piggy got hit and the conch exploded there was an cessation of noises. Only Jack had the nerve to break the silence. "That's what you'll get," he yelled. I'm starting to believe him.

Before the darkness got Piggy the hunters kidnapped Sam and Eric. They were outnumbered and the hunters tied them up easily. They didn't even resist, and I'm worried about their safety. If the hunters can kill Piggy in one swift movement, what's stopping them from killing Sam and Eric? Too much has happened today, and I hope tomorrow will be a bit better.
