*Seventh Grade* A short story

Seventh Grade, a short story by Gary Soto, can be found in his book, Baseball in April. Here are the answers to the questions my teacher has given us.

(1) Choose a favorite sentence or two from the story. Explain why you choose it.
"Better yet, he wished he could start his life over." This sentence was my favorite because everybody always has an embarrassing moment in their life, and they just want to ignore it and start over. People always do foolish things. Like Victor, he pretended he could speak French, but when the teacher asked him a question in French he just let out a mumble-jumble of words that "sounded French." This shows that we humans always try to sound more talented and achieving than we really are. So be proud of who you are!!!

(2) Find a part of the story you really connected with, and explain why!
I really connected with the part when Victor was rushing from class to class. I always feel rushed and feel like our breaks are very short. I think I just need to learn to be more organized because life will be like a long day at school.
