To Kill A Mockingbird Post 1 (Chapters: 1-3, Perspective: Dill)

Jem got Scared… of Boo!!! May 3 You can always tell someone’s character by the way they handle their dares. Jem, the so called “tough guy,” was too scared to go and get Boo out of his house. I knew he wouldn’t persevere and do it, but I just wanted to see the person who always did what he was dared to do, fail. I would have done it myself, but I wasn’t the one being dared. I felt bad sending Jem to his death, and I knew that if Boo did come out of his house, Jem and Scout would be so scared that they would run and leave me there to die. So, I decided to make a compromise with Jem for everyone’s sake. I told Jem that if he only went up and touched Boo's house I would count the dare as completed and would not tell everyone he was scared.

Spending time with the Finches was really fun. We played a lot of games, and I am happy that I got to spend time with them. The only negative thing about hanging out with the Finches is that Jem always tries to intimidate me. Jem is always making fun of me because of my size, but I showed him by daring him to get Boo to come out of his house. I think Jem is worried that I’m gonna be the cool new kid in town, and he should be worried. Jem really irks me. He thinks he knows everything and that he can do anything. I showed him!

I really like living in this town, and I think all the townfolk like me visiting it too. I make a lot of friends and keep their kids outa trouble. People look up to me and listen to my
pronouncements. I wish I could live here all the time. Life at home is so bland and boring. Here, there are plenty of eccentric things to do, but not at home. I wish I could always live here.

-I like how you really got into your person's character. I really felt that you were DILL.
-I like how you used your vocabulary words, they seemed to fit in quite well with what you were saying
-There wasn't really anything bad about yours but you used the word "gonna" as apposed to going to.

Giuliano,
I liked how you made it seem like you were actually Dill speaking. I also liked how you described him trying to encourgae Jem in doing something that he was terified in doing.

I think its cool how well you did this post, cause you really sounded like Dill.
I like how you showed what really happened when Dill dared Jem, not what the book makes you think!
