Lord of the Flies Post 9

Perspective: Simon

Chapter 9: A View to a Death

I died today. Those sick, stupid little kids. The last thing I remember before everything went black was the corpulent silhouette of Piggy jabbing me with a stick. What sickened me the most was that Ralph and Piggy were involved. They perpetrated my murder, and I thought they would never be able to do something like that. I thought they wouldn't get caught up in a foolish, stupid mistake, but I obviously misjudged them.

It seemed that throughout the day, as the phosphorescence of light slowly diminished, my day worsened. First, I witnessed the horrid killing of the sow Jack and his hunters caught. Second, I had an attack and started talking to the Lord of the Flies. Third, I found the real truth about the Beast. And fourth, I tried to tell the others about the truth and they set upon me like a pack of wolves. I should have just have listened to the Lord the Flies. He told me not to tell the others the truth about the Beast, and as soon as I tried they encircled me and started hitting and stabbing me.

I hope people don't forget about me,

Simon
