Project Reflection

Project Title: Moral Courage (MC) Website Project

Class: Humanities Date Due: March 12, 2008

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this project was to look at Moral Courage and create a informative, educational website about a topic of our choice. In order to get a good grade we were required to submit 4-5 pages of notes, 5 sources (formatted correctly on Easybib), and pictures, videos, or other multimedia and/or site work.

WHAT I LEARNED:

During this project I learned information about things like The Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam War. I learned lots of information from the time lines I created, like on March 16, 1968 U.S. troops went into the village of My Lai and killed over 300 Vietnamese civilians. I also learned that in 1948 President Truman desegregated the military. Some skills I learned during this project were how to format sources, and how to use Macromedia Dreamweaver more effectively.

REFLECTION:

This project was fun, but at the same time really difficult. Although I think our site looks great I think that our weakness was concentrating, many times we would fool around, while other times we would be diligently working. If I could do this project over again I would help my group members in the areas they were struggling.

ARTIFACTS:

For my DP I will simply link the site my group created to my DP. I think this would be the best way to show visitors our work, by really showing them it! Luckily, our site is only 7 megabytes so it wont take up a lot of space.
