My favorite book from last year

My favorite book from last year was Crossing the Wire by Will Hobbs. It was about a young boy named Victor Flores who takes on the dangerous journey of crossing the border illegally. He leaves his family and small village in Mexico to travel to the U.S. so he can make money to send back home. He is forced to cross the border illegally to help his family after his father died doing a construction job. Victor goes through many rough times but is not willing to give up. I hope you read this book, it was very inspirational.
