The sentence I liked the most during this book was "Okay, Mr. Hardy," one of the guards replied, saluting. I liked this sentence because it shows that the Hardy's have authority, and whatever they say goes. Because of the suspense this book makes me feel almost like yelling out when the Hardy's are going to do something foolish or dangerous... usually dangerous.

I think something that Joe should work on is his control because when he really gets into what he is doing he sometimes makes stupid decisions that get him and/or his brother into trouble. One thing that bothers me is how in almost every book the Hardy Boys have a case that is somehow related to their dad's case. After reading 39 out of the 56 books (57 if you include The Detective Hand Book), this gets to be a pain.
