The Wave Post 2

(1) How and/or why has the "Wave" and its motto, "STRENGTH THROUGH DISCIPLINE," already started spreading throughout the school? Give at least one example of students already applying the motto to other aspects of their lives.
One example of students already applying the
motto to other aspects of their life is when David applied it to the Gordon High football team. They applied the motto, to making the football team more cooperative and more like a team. I think it is good that the students apply the motto to help them succeed as a team.

(2) Choose a quote that jumped out at you as extremely interesting, unusual or important.
A quote that struck me as interesting and important was "You know why we've done so bad this year? Because we're twenty-five one-man teams all wearing the same Gordon High uniforms". This made me think, will the students change? Will they put aside their differences and unite as one, weather its a football team or just as a school? I think this quote really shows that you should work together and forget your differences because we're all wearing the same "Gordon High uniform." I think this is a good example of foreshadowing and will be presented on a larger scale as the book progresses.

Question: How do you think Mr. Ross and his student get so caught up in this "experiment"? Does it remind you of anything you've witnessed or gone through?

3. I think that Mr.Ross and his students get so caught up in the Wave because it's actually kind of entertaining. Also it's not one of those projects that you have to sit down and write a report (like you will normally have to in a history class). It's the kind of project that you could get up and start moving. It's a project that is fun and interacting. Also no I haven't gone through or witnessed anything like this before.

2. I agree with you about that quote. This quote also made me stop and wonder "Will the students change" too. I also agree with your other questions about "Will they put aside their differences and unite as one?" I also agree when you said that your quote is kind of like a good foreshadowing. =)

1. I agree! yup, I think so too. i also think since the football team is more like a "Team" they will win more games no? I think so. Also, I think the footballers will tell more people and then it will go around the school. I think. I DIDN'T READ AHEAD! (LOL)

2. Well I think it's not the uniforms! Its because they're not like a team. NO NOT YET! It's like going back to 1. HMMMM.... yeah! Also, this pharse is funny. Its like saying "NO NO...THATS LIKE EATING BAAAAD FOOD. NO NO STOP!" Thats whats this passige reminds me of.

3. Great question really. Well I think that Mr. Ross gets so into because, everyday his kids willbe doing the motto and makeing so uninic. He will forget aobut everything else and put full focas on other things. Nope, nothing like this has ever happened, no sorry. :(.

2. I like your quote because it shows that the team is based on a team with 25 people only carrying about their selfs. And i agree how it made you think ''will they change'' because it's hard to change at times.
3.I dont think ive gone through anything like it but i think mr.ross is caught up in the experiment more than the kids. But i dont blame them or him because it seems like a cool project too do.

3. I think that Mr.ross get caught up on the wave because mr.ross is beging to like the power and the students finally feel like a class. Also robert is now participating in this project. It doesent remind me of anything i've ever gone through.

2. I like your quote because it shows that the whole team is actually 25 diffrent one man teams that are wearing the same jersy. It also shows that they are wasting to ,much time on fighting and not enough on practice.
